Get Involved, Make a Paper Airplane

Curious on how to make a paper airplane?

1

Start with Your Message

Begin with a 10×8 cm sheet of paper. Before folding, write your hopeful message in the center. Place your paper message-side-up for the next steps.

2

First Fold

Fold the paper in half lengthwise (hotdog style), then unfold to create a center crease. Your message should be face-up.

3

Corner Folds

Fold the top corners down to the center crease, creating a point at the top. This forms a triangle shape on the top half.

4

Central Fold

Fold the top triangle down, leaving about 1 cm of space from the bottom edge. This creates a small triangle that points downward.

5

Edge Folds

Fold the top edges to the center line again, creating a narrower point. Your plane is starting to take shape.

6

Wing Formation

Fold the paper in half along the center crease. Then fold the wings down, matching the top edges with the bottom edge of the plane's body.

7

Final Touches

Make small adjustments to the wings to ensure they're even. Add a piece of tape in between the wings to ensure your plane stays in shape. Your paper airplane now carries a message of hope.

8

Submit Your Form

Fill in the paper airplane submission form below to fully make your impact. This helps us organize your contribution and ensure your message reaches those who need it most.

Our Guidelines

  • Use only standard 10×8 cm paper (colored and patterned paper is acceptable and encouraged for more appeal)
  • Write all messages in ink, not pencil
  • Messages must be appropriate and positive
  • No inappropriate language, religious, or political content
  • Do not include personal contact information
  • No attachments except for a small piece of tape between the wings (no staples, paper clips, or stickers)
  • If including a signature, use first name only (name inclusion is optional and at contributor's discretion)
  • Fold paper according to the instructions for proper flight
  • Each paper airplane must contain a message of hope
  • Handle completed paper airplanes carefully to maintain shape
